The Kitchen Table - Thank God It's Christmas!
Share
Whilst I find myself channelling Freddie Mercury and making 'Squirrel Poo's' (recipe to follow in the new year) I can't help but think Christmas this year has come at exactly the right time. Following a second lockdown, the weather is well, welly weather and the days short. I don't know about you but the first lockdown I got through on sunshine and prosecco, this one was an early Christmas tree and prosecco!
Christmas presents have arrived as bank transfers this year, and I am not sure if it is lack of inspiration or that people are finding it hard to buy as they aren't out on the high street in the same way.
Whatever it is, I am here shouting about all of the wonderful indie businesses I love most, hopefully offering you all some inspiration and encouraging you to shop small this year.
The reason I want you to shop small is these are the businesses that are really suffering this year and most importantly I know each gift you receive from these small businesses have a little bit of someone’s love and dreams gone into the creation and packaging - and who doesn't need something with a little bit of extra love this year!
And don't forget - Sockatoos are the perfect gift for those expecting a baby in the new year!
Libby Lavender - @Libbylavendercotswolds candles and diffusers are the perfect gift for that person who has everything and is impossible to buy for. The scents are beautifully rich and warming.

Nomnom Kids - Ok ok, not sure who this one is a gift for is it your super mum sister (she probably already has them) or for your messy nephew!? Either way these reusable, refillable pouches are a life saver on the run.
Daphne & Margot - now this is truly what I am talking about, when I say real love and attention has gone into a product. Not only are these wonderful creations completely handmade you can even order bespoke items for your little one - everyone I have put my boys in has become a firm favourite.

Isabella Day Goldsmith - A few years ago I attended a day workshop with Bella and I have to say (apart from the parking ticket) this was a truly fabulous day. Not only does Bella do workshops for groups but also for those wanting to creadte their own weeding bands. Bella takes commisions and creates the most wonderfully bespoke items either brand new or repurposing your old or inherited jewellery.
Mama Life London - Who doesn't like a nice cosy slogan sweater?! These lovely sweaters have the kindest slogans and are perfect to do the school run or dress up.
